Winners


The AfricaCom Awards entries are examined by an independent panel of judges.  All entries and supporting evidence are collected by Informa and then handed over to the judges for a 2 week assessment process.  The judges agree on the criteria of qualification and marking in the context of these entries, and with advice from Informa, once all entries have been collected.   Each judge places a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place vote in each category.  1st place was worth 4 points, 2nd place was worth 2 points, and 3rd place 1 point.  The top 3 shortlisted entries and the winners for each category are decided after a conference call discussion between the judges, the last two shortlisted entries are based on the number of points awarded in the preliminary judging votes.
