Norival Figueira is a distinguished professional in the data-networking industries with over 15 years of experience. Dr. Figueira is currently a Sr. Product Manager with the IP Products Division of Brocade, where he is responsible for high end service provider solutions and products, product strategy, and related technologies and standards. Prior to Brocade, Dr. Figueira was Sr. Product Marketing Manager with Foundry Networks and held leadership positions in system architecture with Hammerhead Systems and Nortel Networks. Dr. Figueira was the Technical Program Vice-Chair of the IEEE Globecom 2000 and 2003, Co-Chair of the Design & Developers Forum of IEEE Globecom 2005, Vice-Chair of the IEEE Communications Society Communications Design & Development Technical Sub-Committee 2004-2005, and the Technical Program Co-Chair of the 1st IEEE Communications EXPO 2006. Dr. Figueira received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Figueira is a member of the IEEE.
