Directions by car:
• From Barcelona airport:
Take the C31 exit road from the airport in the direction of the city of Barcelona. At the first junction, take the slip road for the B-20, which is also called the Ronda de Dalt. Take exit no. 11- Avenida Diagonal, and get into the side lane along the Avenida Diagonal heading towards the city centre. After 3.5 km there is a roundabout - Plaza de Francesc Maciá – take the turning to the right into Avenida Josep Tarradellas. After 500 metres turn right into Avenida Sarriá and you will see the hotel on the right at number 50. Park at the main entrance and our porter and/or bell boy will take care of your luggage and park your car.
There are several ways of getting to the hotel using public transport:
TRAIN: There is a train every 30 minutes from the airport station next to Terminal A for Sants (closest station to the hotel). Price of the ticket: 1.30€. Once at Sants take bus no. 32 (1.30€) or a taxi (6 to 8€ depending on luggage) to the Meliã Barcelona.
AEROBUS: Leaves the airport every 20 minutes for Barcelona Centro (stopping at every terminal). Get off at Sants Station. Price of the ticket: 3.90€. Once at Sants take bus no. 32 (1.30€) or a taxi (6 to 8€ depending on luggage) to the Meliã Barcelona.
TAXI: (Airport - Hotel Meliã Barcelona) Costs approximately 45€, depending on the amount of luggage.
We can also offer a private transfer service in a Mercedes Class E (Airport - Hotel Meliã Barcelona) at an approximate price of 93€+7%VAT. The service must be previously booked via the hotel reception and is subject to the availability of vehicles.
From the city centre:
Starting at Plaza Cataluña, head towards the Paseo de la Gracia. Follow this until you reach the junction with the Diagonal. Turn left onto the Diagonal and follow this until you reach the Plaza Francesc Macià. Take the Josep Tarradellas exit and turn right almost immediately into the Avenida Sarriá where you will see the Meliã Barcelona on your right.
PRECONFERENCE WORKSHOPS - 4 APRIL: REY JUAN CARLOS I
Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I is located just 11 km from Aeropuerto Barcelona El Prat.
From the airport:
By car/taxi (15 minutes):
Leaving the airport, take B-17, direction Barcelona.
After 5 km, follow the signs B-20, Ronda de Dalt (blue).
Exit the B-20 at exit 11 (Les Corts - Zona Universitaria)
Drive 200m on the right hand side of the Diagonal Avenue and take the second turn on the right.
By train/metro (40 minutes):
Take the train to Sants Estació station.
From the station, take the metro line number 3 (green line) to Zona Universitaria.
By bus (40 minutes):
Aerobus shuttle bus service (A1) links Barcelona airport to the city centre. Catch the aerobus directly in front of the airport (all 3 terminals).
Get off the bus at Plaça Espanya (first stop). Take the metro line 3 (green line) to Zona Universitaria (2 minutes walking distance from the hotel).
