Javier E. Gonzalez is focused on developing CIENA’s Carrier Ethernet market penetration in Enterprises, Service Providers and Mobile Operators. Javier’s professional experience prior to CIENA includes Product Manager at Huawei Technologies responsible for data (IP/MPLS) and access (xDSL, GPON, Ethernet) for incumbents, alternative operators and MSOs, as well as independent consultant services. In addition, Javier spent roughly nine (9) years in business development, product management, product marketing and network engineering at NORTEL.
Javier is a past ATM Forum Ambassador, has participated in industry conferences and is an active member of the IEEE and MEF with vast experience in the European, North American and Latin American markets. Javier resides in Paris (France), holds an Engineering degree (M.S. in Telecommunications & Networks) and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD.
