Paul Littlewood, Senior Director, Carrier Network Architecture at Ciena Corporation, has responsibility for building network vision, detailing next generation network architecture, and defining platform application values. Paul joined the Ciena team in March 2010 through the acquisition of assets from Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Networks business, where he was Leader of Network Architecture.
In his over 27 years of telecommunications experience, Paul has led product management and engineering teams in bringing to market leading optical transport and cross connect products. He has also led the definition and introduction to market of Carrier Ethernet technologies such as Resilient Packet Ring.
Paul is a graduate from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK with an Honours degree in Pure Physics. He is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
